Who we are

MNM Tyres Ltd (“MNM Tyres”, “we”) is the data controller for the personal data described here. Our registered office is 167–169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF. That is a correspondence address only. We are a mobile service and do not trade from a premises you can visit.

To contact us about anything on this page, call 0161 383 9487 or email info@mnmtyres.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

When you send a booking request. We collect your name, phone number, postcode, the service you need, when you want it, your vehicle registration if you give it, and anything you write in the message box. On our fleet and commercial pages we also collect an email address, because a written quote has to go somewhere. We use this to respond to your enquiry and to carry out the work. The lawful basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and thereafter to perform it.

When you call or message us. We hold your phone number and whatever you tell us about the job, for the same purposes.

Automatically, when you send a form. Our server records the IP address the request came from, so we can rate limit the enquiry form and stop it being abused by automated scripts. An IP address is personal data, so we are telling you about it. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the form working for real customers, and it is not used for anything else.

When you use the site. With your consent we collect analytics and advertising data described under Cookies below. Without your consent, none of that is collected.

WhatsApp, and what that means

Submitting the booking form does two things. First, it sends your enquiry to us directly. Second, it opens a WhatsApp chat with a message already written for you.

That message contains only your name, the service, your postcode, your preferred time, your vehicle registration if given, and a reference number. Because it travels through WhatsApp, that content is processed by Meta Platforms under their own terms and privacy policy, and it will appear in your own WhatsApp history. Your email address and anything you typed into the message box are deliberately not included in that hand-off - they come to us directly instead.

If you would rather not use WhatsApp at all, call us. Nothing is lost by doing so.

Cookies and tracking

Analytics and advertising cookies default to denied and only run if you accept them. We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics, Google Ads and a Meta pixel, and we store advertising click identifiers (such as a Google gclid) in a first-party cookie for up to 90 days, along with a short reference code for your enquiry. This lets us tell which adverts produce real jobs rather than just clicks.

The full detail, including how to change your mind, is in our cookie policy.

Who we share it with

Meta Platforms, for the WhatsApp message you send and, with consent, for advertising measurement. Google, with consent, for analytics and advertising. Our hosting and email providers, who process data on our instructions to run the site and deliver enquiries to us. Where a job in your area is carried out by a named partner fitter rather than one of our own vans, we pass them what they need to do the work.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Sending data outside the UK

Some of the companies above are based in the United States, so your data reaches servers outside the UK. That applies to Meta, for anything sent through WhatsApp, and to Google, for analytics and advertising where you have consented.

Those transfers rely on the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the standard contractual clauses otherwise. If you would rather your data did not leave the UK, call us instead of using WhatsApp or the form, and decline the non-essential cookies.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. Enquiries go to a mailbox we control. We keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small: we do not take payment on this website, so we never see card details, and we do not ask for anything we do not need to do the job.

Automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you by automated means, and we do not profile you. A person reads every enquiry and decides what to do about it.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up, and then for six years where the work went ahead, so we can deal with any dispute or claim about it. Analytics data is retained according to the settings in the relevant Google product.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask us to transfer it. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time - that does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

Contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle it you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you raised it with us first so we can put it right.

If we change how we use your data we will change this page and move that date. This version describes the site as it stands: an enquiry form, a WhatsApp hand-off, and analytics that only run if you say yes.
