Tyre Sales - 24/7 mobile callout

We supply the tyre as well as fitting it, so there is one transaction and one price. What you are quoted covers the tyre, the fitting, the balancing, the new valve, the disposal of the old tyre, the call-out and VAT.

Tell us the registration and we will identify the correct size, load index and speed rating, and quote across budget, mid-range and premium options so the choice is yours rather than ours.

From £49 fitted - tyre, fitting, balancing, valve, disposal, call-out and VAT included

Reading a tyre sidewall

Take 225/45 R17 94Y as an example. 225 is the section width in millimetres. 45 is the aspect ratio - the sidewall height as a percentage of the width, so this sidewall is 101mm tall. R means radial construction. 17 is the rim diameter in inches. 94 is the load index, which corresponds to 670kg per tyre. Y is the speed rating, good for 186mph.

The load index and speed rating must at least match what the vehicle manufacturer specifies on the door pillar or filler flap plate. Going below either is an MOT failure. Going above is generally permitted but a much higher speed rating usually means a stiffer sidewall and a firmer ride for no practical benefit on a UK road.

94

Load index

Maximum load per tyre - 94 is 670kg.

Y

Speed rating

Maximum speed - Y is 186mph.

What the EU tyre label actually tells you

Every new tyre sold carries a label with three graded ratings and a QR code. Fuel efficiency is graded A to E and reflects rolling resistance. Wet grip is graded A to E and reflects wet braking performance - the difference between an A and an E is substantial, in the order of several car lengths in an emergency stop from motorway speed. External rolling noise is given in decibels with a three-band wave symbol.

Since the 2021 label revision there are also two pictograms worth looking for: the 3PMSF alpine symbol, which indicates certified severe snow performance, and an ice grip symbol for Nordic winter tyres. The M+S marking on its own is self-declared by the manufacturer and is not a performance test.

The label does not grade dry braking, steering response, aquaplaning resistance or tread life, which is where the real gap between a budget and a premium tyre usually sits. That is worth knowing before choosing purely on label grades.

Budget, mid-range or premium

The honest answer is that it depends on the car and the mileage. On a low-powered car doing a modest annual mileage, a well-reviewed mid-range tyre is usually the sensible purchase. On a heavier, faster or all-wheel-drive car, or on any vehicle carrying passengers for a living, the wet braking and tread life difference generally justifies a premium tyre over its lifetime.

What is never worth it is mixing types across an axle. Two different tyre models on the same axle behave differently under load, and on a wet road that difference is felt exactly when you least want it.

How it works

How a buy tyres job runs

No garage. No tow truck. No waiting room. A qualified fitter at your location, fast.

  1. 01

    Tell us where you are

Call, WhatsApp or send a booking request with your postcode, vehicle registration and tyre size if you have it. The registration is usually enough for us to identify the correct fitment.

  2. 02

We confirm the tyre and the price

We check stock for your size, speed rating and load index, and confirm the total you will pay before anything is booked. No charge is added afterwards.

  3. 03

    The van comes to you

Roadside, driveway, car park or workplace. The van carries the tyres, the balancer and the tooling, so the job is completed where the vehicle already is.

  4. 04

    Fitted, balanced and checked

New tyre fitted, wheel balanced, valve replaced, pressures set and torque checked to the manufacturer figure. The old tyre goes with us for recycling.

FAQ

Tyre Sales - common questions

Straight answers to the things people actually want to know before they call - including the ones that cost us a sale.

Will you have my tyre size on the van?

Give us your registration and we will identify the exact fitment - size, load index, speed rating and any original-equipment marking your vehicle requires - and check stock before we set off.

If your size is not on the van we will tell you that on the phone, not after we arrive, and we will tell you when we can have it.

What does the £49 actually include?

£49 is the total you pay, not a starting point that grows. It covers the tyre, the fitting, the wheel balancing, a new valve, disposal and recycling of the old tyre, the call-out itself and VAT.

What changes the total is the tyre your vehicle actually needs - its size, load index and speed rating, whether it is a run-flat, whether it carries an original-equipment marking, and whether you choose budget, mid-range or premium. We confirm the full price before anything is booked, and nothing is added afterwards.

Which tyre brands do you fit?

We quote across budget, mid-range and premium so the choice is yours. Tell us your registration and we will price the options that are correct for your vehicle.

What we will not do is mix different tyre models across the same axle. Two different tyres on one axle behave differently under load, and on a wet road you notice that exactly when you least want to.
